I bet you thought I meant that I churn milk intobutter huh? No silly…. my own almond, cashew, peanut butter. Not all mixed together mind you…. but each has it’s own groovy qualities. You take some roasted nuts either salted or unsalted depending on your need to regulate sodium and food process the crap out of em. Literally it took like 20 minutes and my Cuisinart was smoking. It is by far the best stuff in my pantry at the moment. 2 TBS is like 200 calories. I take it and smear it on a cut up apple…. then close my eyes and the world seems a little more perfect! It’s healthy with no preservatives and I even added a little bit of splenda to the almond butter….
I speared some on a whole wheat tortilla with low sugar jelly and then rolled it up like a burrito. Oh it must be a sin… or at least like 1000 calories. To my shock, it was about 450 cal. If you use the 8 inch whole wheat tortilla, it’s less! I eat it for lunch with a salad if I have a demanding cardio afternoon coming up.
It’s enough to make you want to unbutton the pants and rub the tummy. Oh yea… it’s that good.
